The Saint John the Baptizer Monastery Complex

Charity Fund is an active assistant to the remodeling of the monastery. A new guest house was built nearby; the monks’ apartments were constructed as well as feast hall and leaders’ residence. The major temple and bell tower were remodeled.

At the moment the following is being carried out: restoration of the westward complex of the main church of the monastery, shingle covering of cave cells, dead rocks moving off, cracks and clefts cleaning out, archeological research and reconstruction of the oldest plot cells in the rock and also in the rock there are being constructed ascending stairs from the upper terrace of the complex to the church.
