The first stage of archeological research in Nekresi lasted for two months. The reconstruction works were conducted under the supervision and guidance of professional archeologists. About 40 volunteers of the  Ertguleba Charity Fund participated in this works.

As a result of the archeological research important information was gathered about the period the church was constructed, about separate components of the ensemble as well as it’s functional work. The next stage of the research is planned in the nearest future.
